Nicole is handmade using only fine Italian leathers and fabrics and produced with the traditional “sewing and turning” technique, a variation of the Goodyear stitching method where the upper is stitched to the sole in reverse and then turned up by hand. This guarantees extreme softness and flexibility. The gros grain finishing protects the colored lace which can be used to optimize the fit of the ballerina on any foot.

Excellent shoes and very well made. The sizing advice on the website was accurate. I normally wear a size 37.5 in Italian designer shoes and, based on Spelta’s guidance, I sized up to 38 for the Nicole ballet shoes. The fit was perfect without any need to break them in. These were comfy from the get-go. The sole thing that would elevate these shoes would be to add a little more memory foam/gel padding to the insoles for just that little bit of extra cushioning. However that would just be a bonus rather than a must. I have ordered three more pairs because I like these shoes so much
